How we vet our workers
“Vetted workforce” is easy to claim. This page shows what it means in practice — the six steps every candidate goes through before reaching your site, and what happens if someone still turns out not to fit.
The six steps
Document verification
Passport, education documents, trade certificates, driving licences. We check that the documents are valid and that they genuinely match the stated qualification — not merely that they exist.
Work history checks
We verify employment references and, where possible, contact previous employers. In practice what matters is where someone has worked and on what equipment, not their job title. A welder from a production plant and a welder from a construction site bring very different working cultures.
Practical trade test
Where possible the candidate completes a practical task while still in their home country — a weld coupon for welders, machine operation for equipment operators, a drawing-reading check. We document the result and share it with the client before approval.
Video interview
Every candidate is interviewed by us over video. We assess language level, motivation, and whether the person genuinely understands the conditions they will work in — climate, work pace, accommodation. The client is welcome to join the interview and see the person first-hand.
Certification in Latvia
Where the project requires it, we arrange welder certification to EN ISO 9606-1 at an accredited certification body in Latvia: visual inspection, non-destructive testing (NDT) and bend tests. The certification scope — material groups, thickness range, welding positions and processes — is agreed with the client before the test. Anyone who fails is not mobilised to the client's site.
Start of work and replacement guarantee
Once the paperwork is complete the worker starts. If it becomes clear during the first weeks that someone does not meet the requirements, we replace them at no extra cost. The replacement guarantee is built into the hourly rate, so the selection risk stays with us, not with you.
Why we do it this way
A bad hire costs us, not you
If a worker does not fit, we have already paid for selection, paperwork, the visa and travel — and the replacement comes out of our pocket. That is precisely why it is in our interest to check people thoroughly before they travel, not afterwards.
Certification in Latvia, not abroad
Many candidates hold home-country certificates that they cannot actually obtain — welders from large industrial plants, for example, often find the employer retains the paperwork. So we certify again in Latvia: the result is a document that is valid and verifiable for your production facility.
Honest about what cannot be tested
A practical test can be passed and documents can be verified, but no test fully predicts how someone will behave in their first weeks. That is exactly why the replacement guarantee exists — not as a marketing promise, but as an honest answer to the fact that selection is never 100% accurate.
You see the candidate before deciding
You receive the CV and experience summary, and can join the video interview if you wish. No worker arrives at your site whom you have not approved in advance.
