On the job in about 3–4 weeks

Machinery operator staffing for Latvian farms

We supply experienced tractor drivers, combine operators and other agricultural equipment operators from Brazil — a country where farming is among the most modern and technologically advanced in the world. Our specialists have hands-on experience with John Deere, Case IH and New Holland machinery, as well as GPS guidance and precision agriculture systems.

In short: Machinery operator staffing in Latvia costs €19–22 per hour (all-inclusive). Workers can start in about 3–4 weeks after the contract is signed. The D-type work visa is processed in Latvia, so there is no need to arrange it at a Latvian embassy abroad. The minimum engagement is three months, and you pay only for hours actually worked.

Why Brazilian machinery operators

The fastest legal route into Latvia

Brazilian citizens enter the Schengen area visa-free. The D-type work visa and residence permit are processed in Latvia — not at an embassy abroad. The result: on the job in about 3–4 weeks, while workers from visa countries wait 2–3 months.

Modern grain farming experience

Brazil is a top-three global grain exporter. Operators come from farms of 500–5,000 hectares where GPS auto-steering, precision seeding and digital equipment monitoring are everyday practice — not novelties.

Season timing works in your favour

Brazil's harvest season is the opposite of Europe's. From April to November, when Latvia needs hands, Brazil is in its quiet period — experienced operators are available exactly when you need them.

Frequently asked questions

How much does machinery operator staffing cost in Latvia?
Qualified agricultural machinery operators (tractor and combine operators) cost €19–22 per hour all-inclusive in Latvia. The rate covers gross salary, all employer taxes (23.59% social contributions), holiday reserve, sick leave, legal administration and a replacement guarantee. You pay only for hours actually worked.
How quickly can machinery operators start work?
About 3–4 weeks from contract signature. Brazilian citizens enter the Schengen area visa-free, and the D-type work visa is processed in Latvia rather than at an embassy abroad. The process: 14-day NVA vacancy notice + approximately 7 days for the PMLP invitation + travel. That is significantly faster than workers from visa countries, who take 2–3 months.
What equipment do Brazilian machinery operators know?
Brazilian operators typically come from large grain farms of 500–5,000 hectares, working with John Deere, Case IH, New Holland and Massey Ferguson equipment — tractors, combines, sprayers — and with precision agriculture systems including GPS auto-steering. Brazilian grain farming is among the most technologically advanced in the world.
What is the minimum engagement period?
The minimum engagement is three months. A typical season contract runs 4–8 months (April to November). Many clients keep workers on longer-term contracts or bring the same team back for the following season.

Is Latvian or Russian required?

Brazilian operators speak Portuguese and usually basic to good English. In practice field machinery work requires little language — our coordinator helps during the first weeks, and WhatsApp translation handles day-to-day communication.

What happens after the season?

Three options: the worker returns home (with no termination formalities on your side), stays with you on a longer-term contract, or returns for the next season — a team you already know, with no training period.

What if a worker is not a good fit?

A replacement guarantee is included in the rate. If you see in the first weeks that someone is not right for the job, we replace them at no additional cost. Our interest is that you come back next season.

What about accommodation?

If the farm has housing available, that speeds things up. If not, we help find rental accommodation nearby. Accommodation costs sit with the client or the worker — we agree this case by case.
